“Now that we have returned home from our North American trip, we thought you and your staff deserve a report on our family event at Epulo four weeks ago, when twenty-one of us descended upon you that windy, rainy evening.  Thank goodness Edmonds missed the worst of the storm and you didn’t suffer a power failure!

We must say the evening was outstanding in every respect.   The long table looked great, complete with flowers, wine and apero nibbles, setting the scene for our guests and creating an enjoyable atmosphere.  Your menu provided for every taste.  Your staff were outstanding in serving such a large group in a timely way, and despite the wide variety of orders, to serve them almost all at once.

We particularly want to thank Laura and her colleagues for looking after us so professionally, with such courtesy and friendliness.  The card for my sister was also much appreciated.

We can honestly say everyone has let me know how much they enjoyed the evening, mentioning the choice and quality of food, the service, the ambiance.  With most of us having travelled some distance, our only regret is it may be some time before we can make a  return visit and enjoy some of the other enticing dishes on the menu.   Nonetheless, we look forward to our next visit.

Lastly, as hosts, we must say that the cost was very reasonable, excellent value.

What more can we say?  You made a great memorable evening for us all.  Well done, and many, many thanks.

Best regards”

“You can always rely on having a fantastic evening of great food in a comfortable setting at Epulo. My wife and I always come here for special occasions (i.e. birthdays, anniversaries… Fridays) and we always feel pampered and made special. Hands down our favorite restaurant anywhere!”

“As always, the food was AMAZING… The wine was wonderful and the staff went over the top to provide stellar service!!! It’s one of my favorite places in Edmonds and continues to be!!!”

“One of the best culinary experiences in the NW.”   Trip Advisor reviewer March 2017

I am not easy to impress to this level having grown up in a 4 star restaurant in NY/NJ area. Epulo Bistro is exceptional. They have gorgeous comfortable location on Main St in Edmonds. Plenty of places to park, easy to find. It is romantic but also simply artfully decorated and very appealing. They have an inspired actual mixologist, not just a bartender, and I say that with love because I was a bartender but I know the difference. The cocktails are delightful, the wine list is outstanding, varied and approachable. Trust me, even if you know what you like, as them to give you something you haven’t had & you will be enchanted.
The food: I strongly recommend happy hour, it is one of the best I have attended not simply because of prices but due to the exceptional quality and portions of what is offered. They were one of the first to feature truffle popcorn, which most suspect is dusted with crack. A selection of crisp and artful flatbreads with unique toppings, a surprise that is one of the most popular choices, Fire Roasted Cauliflower w/Grano Padano. I am not lying when I say that a few times I have seen people including one in my own party order that a second time as an entree it was so special. They have a fabulous calamari & rock shrimp plate & heavenly frites with an aioli I would bathe in ( as for the garlic aioli for the calamari plate it’s even better than the one that comes with it). If you are craving comfort go for the short rib pappardelle, for 10$ you cannot go wrong. So many others that it would be too much to list and enough that everyone can share and taste. The wines are inspired they were featuring heady gorgeous luscious Spanish reds before most here had even thought of them.
The suppers are enlightened with a rigatoni that would make your Nonna proud & you can customize it with choice of chicken or mushrooms, Lan Roc farms pork Osso Bucco that is mouth watering, and enticing with shallot risotto & olive gremolata on top.
The beef short rib, however it is prepared with clouds of garlic whipped potatoes is one of their top requests. I have had duck, venison, and Meyers Ranch beef that were outstandingly prepared and inspired experiences each time. Do not overlook the Skagit Chicken, succulently sous vide with decadent herb polenta. No bad choices for supper I promise you.
If you like desserts that leave you weak in the knees you won’t be disappointed here. The Zeppole plate is mouth watering with warm lovely fluffy balls of dough, with a light dusting of cinnamon sugar and a salted caramel anglaise sauce. They have house made ice cream that never disappoints, the death by chocolate was insane. Affogato is delightful and simple with clean warm flavors of hazelnut, espresso and vanilla beans. Their bread pudding is warm, crispy and wholly satisfying every time. I would sell something for that chocolate torte it is one of the best I have ever tasted and I am married to a pastry chef.
This is a place worthy of the drive up from Seattle, down from Vancouver, any reason at all. It is hard to be romantic and also inclusive but to me, this place is. Gorgeous lighting, dark lovely wood so comfy benches and booths.
The staff is amazing, genuine, kind, funny and solicitous. I had to dine alone after a change of plans & they let me have the dining room menu in the bar with no issues. They do not hover, they do not snark, they are well trained & just exemplary.
Don’t hesitate Epulo will never let you down.
